GORDON HENDERSON MP

FOR SITTINGBOURNE & SHEPPEY

Thursday 15th July 2010

07:00 On train to Victoria with the prospect of a relatively quiet day. I am determined to break the back of the pile of paperwork that still covers half my desk.

10:30 Prayers followed by Communities and Local Government Questions. Eric Pickles was on top form; combative and authoritative. I am pleased he is on our side!

11.30 I passed on Business Questions today because I wanted to get back to the office where I had agreed to take part in a telephone canvass. The fee for taking part will be donated to this year’s Litter Angels project.

12.30 Bob Dale from BBC Radio Kent rang to interview me about my EDM on the Thames Estuary Airport.

13.30 I spent the afternoon working on letters and emails, listening to the Finance Bill debate and dashing downstairs for the numerous divisions.

18:15 Divisions meant that I missed my usual Thursday train and had to wait for the 18:59. It was a slow train and I didn’t arrive home until almost half past eight. Still is was earlier than every other day this week.
