Have increases in the basic state pension linked to wage inflation, rather than the Retail Price Index, as it is now. Gordon visited Sittingbourne Age Concern to offer his support to pensioners in their fight for a higher pension.

Introduce tighter controls on immigration.

Get Britain working again and help local businesses survive the recession. As part of this campaign Gordon joined local councillors, Ken Pugh and Gerry Lewin at a seminar at which shadow cabinet minister, Theresa May MP, was guest speaker.

Promote an anti-litter culture across the constituency. Gordon runs an annual Litter Angels competition which invites local school children to design an anti litter poster. To highlight the campaign, Gordon presented framed copies of the 2008 winning posters to Tory Leader, David Cameron.
