Gordon backs Harry’s campaign for pensioners.
LOCAL Conservative parliamentary hopeful, Gordon Henderson, took time out from his busy General Election campaign to back local campaigner, Harry Farrow.
Mr Farrow has been working tirelessly for almost a year to drum up support for his campaign to get free rail travel for the over 60’s who live in Kent.
Mr Henderson, who is also director of the Swale Community Action Project, has been helping Mr Farrow’s campaign by printing for him letters, flyers and petition forms and providing postage stamps to enable him to send letters across the country.
He said:
“Harry Farrow is doing a great job and I have been delighted to have been able to help him in his campaign in my capacity as director of the Swale Community Action Project.
“One of the objectives of SCAP is to support charities and voluntary groups who are trying to help people in our local community and Harry is doing just that, which is why I have been more than happy to cover some of his campaign costs.
“Harry has worked tirelessly to promote his cause and has already obtained backing for his campaign from Swale Borough Council and Kent County Council.”
