Campaign Launch - Speech

This General Election is about trust. Who do you trust to get Britain out of the financial mess into which Labour has plunged us? Who do you trust to repair Britain's broken society? Who do you trust to bring immigration under control? Who do you trust to cut back on the bureaucracy and red tape that is stifling business?

Above all else, it is about who do you trust to represent you on a local basis in Parliament?

The reputation of Members of Parliament is at an all time low. Too many of them abused the expenses system. Too many of them put their own interests before those of their community. I want to be different. I will not abuse the expenses system, I will only claim expenses that are legitimate, reasonable and what any other person would expect to claim.

I will not have a second home in London, instead I will commute to town every day like many other people in Sittingbourne & Sheppey. I will always put the interests of my community before party politics.

Trust me and vote for change. I will not let you down. That is my pledge to you.
