Litter Angels nominated for Asda Green Token Giving initiative

Litter Angels nominated for Asda Green Token Giving initiative

Local anti-litter charity, Litter Angels, has been nominated along with two other local charities to receive a cash prize as part of the Asda Foundation’s Green Token Giving initiative.

Residents of Sittingbourne and Sheppey can vote for the charity they feel is the most deserving between 1st October and 30th November 2021. The winner will receive £500 and the two runners-up will receive £200 each.

Regular customers of Asda used to vote by placing green tokens into the in-store voting system, however, this was paused due to the coronavirus. Voting has now been moved online.

Gordon Henderson, Chairman of Litter Angels, said:

‘I would like to thank Asda for accepting a nomination for Litter Angels to take part in their initiative and hope local people will feel able to vote for the charity.

‘Any prize money we receive will be used to help spread our message about the negative affect litter has on our environment and to encourage children to take pride in the area in which they live and play.’

To vote for Litter Angels, please visit https://www.asda.com/green-tokens and pick ‘Sittingbourne’ from the drop-down list. This will then take you to the voting page.
