Gordon Congratulates Local Schools on Winning National Awards

LOCAL MP, Gordon Henderson, has congratulated two local schools who have won Artsmark awards from the Arts Council England.

Sittingbourne Community College won an Artsmark Gold award and Murston Junior School won a silver award.

Artsmark is Arts Council England’s national award scheme that recognises schools’ commitment to the arts. Artsmark provides a benchmark for arts provision in schools so that children and young people have access to a wide range of experiences in dance, drama, music, art and design.
 
Mr Henderson said:

“I would like to congratulate both Sittingbourne Community College and Murston Junior School on winning these awards.

“It is great that two local schools have been honoured in this way and I am proud of what they have achieved.”
