Movember 2013

I am looking for help. I have decided to take part in this year’s Movember Prostate Cancer campaign.

If you don’t know. . .
• One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
• A man will die from prostate cancer every hour.
• More than 10,000 men will die of the disease this year in the UK.

They are terrible statistics that few people know, which is why prostate cancer is called the ‘silent killer’.

Survival rates for prostate cancer have risen from a pitiful 31% to 81% as a result of research, earlier detection and new treatments. This didn’t just happen. Research charities such as Movember made it happen.

I want to help Movember, so for the next month I will be growing a moustache and I am looking for sponsors.

And here’s the deal. . . the person who raises the largest amount in sponsorship will be allowed to shave off my moustache on 1st December 2013.
