MP Opens Swale Heating’s New Training Centre
Swale Heating welcomed Kent MP Gordon Henderson to its Sittingbourne headquarters to perform the official opening of its new training centre.
The company, which employs more than 400 engineers and support staff, will be using the new training facilities to offer employees access to the very latest industry knowledge and provide high standards of accredited training.
Chris Riley, Swale Heating’s operations director said: “It is not just our current trainees who will benefit from this investment, but also our qualified engineers and customer support staff who will gain specialist knowledge in many new areas. In addition we will be able to offer joint training initiatives with community partners.”
Following a tour of the new centre on September 29 and introductions to Swale Heating staff, Gordon Henderson said: “It is always encouraging to see companies invest in training but never more so than in the current economic climate. I am very impressed by what I have seen today; Swale Heating is certainly setting high standards for others to follow.”
Founded in 1972, Swale Heating now employs more than 400 staff. All of its engineers are highly trained and accredited by the Gas Safe Register and the CORGI Certification (CC) for quality management of gas work.
