Local MP opens office extension

Sittingbourne & Sheppey MP Gordon Henderson joined representatives of local businesses and Family Homes staff and customers to officially open the extension of the Family Homes West Street office in Sittingbourne.

The event signaled the further growth of this local business, which is currently celebrating its 25th year of trading and offers a full range of property services for both sales and lettings.

The customary ribbon was cut by Gordon Henderson MP to the applause of guests and staff and during the event certificates of appreciation were presented by Gordon. Recognition was given to the team at Barclays Bank for their continued support to Family Homes, and to local businessman Steve Waller of Waller Associates for best property investor and landlord.

Speaking after the event Sunil and Gita Popat said “The turn out to celebrate the office extension has been fantastic. We are extremely grateful to Gordon for officially opening the extension today, as he has shown his support in many ways over recent years. The office is often a buzz of activity, however it was fantastic to see so many of our associates, landlords and clients here today to help us celebrate this exciting development.”

On officially opening the extension, Gordon Henderson MP said:

“It is my great pleasure to have been here today and to celebrate the opening of this office extension with Family Homes.

“I would like to take this opportunity also to thank Sunil, Gita and their team for their assistance to me in my work as Member of Parliament by helping a number of needy people in my constituency to overcome their accommodation problems and property investor questions.

“I very much hope we can continue to co-operate to find ways to help some very vulnerable people.”

Family Homes has also recently opened a second office in Faversham, and offers property maintenance, legal services, mortgages, and a landlord information service in addition to its sales and lettings agency services.
