MP supports new water metering website

Local MP, Gordon Henderson is supporting a new website, launched by Southern Water, which allows his constituents to find out in which year their water meter will be arriving.

Residents of Sittingbourne and Sheppey can enter their postcode into the website, which can be viewed at www.southernwater.co.uk/metering and this then generates the year of installation.

Mr Henderson said,

“Over the next five years, Southern Water is undertaking a programme providing householders in our area with a free water meter.

“I know many people will be concerned about this change, so I am pleased that Southern Water have launched a website explaining why they are taking this step and letting individual householders know when the changeover will take place.”
