Gordon visits front line ambulance staff
Local MP Gordon Henderson got an insight into a modern ambulance service when he visited South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb) recently.
Mr Henderson took time out to visit both Sittingbourne and Sheppey ambulance stations and meet paramedics working in the area. He got an idea of the issues facing crews on the frontline and was able to see the various vehicles that respond to patients across the area.
SECAmb Paramedic and Clinical Operations Manager for the area, Mark Spooner said “It was good to be able to meet Mr Henderson and to discuss the work of frontline staff in his constituency and SECAmb’s vision to improve services across our region.”
Mr Henderson said: “I was delighted to meet Mark Spooner and other frontline staff at Sittingbourne ambulance station and thought the commitment of the whole team was second to none. I was impressed with the work of South East Coast Ambulance Service, both in regard to the technological and clinical innovations being developed to improve patient care and the dedication of staff.”
