MP welcomes Insolvency Service Decision
Gordon Henderson MP has welcomed the decision from the Insolvency Service that its Medway office will not be relocated to Whitstable.
The original proposal was to relocate and merge three of its offices in Bournemouth, Medway and Stockton with neighboring sites. The decision has now been taken to identify alternative government property in Kent and provide remote interviewing facilities.
Mr Henderson said,
“I am delighted that the original proposal to close the Insolvency Service Office in Medway and move it to Whitstable has been scrapped.
“Getting to Whitstable would have been very difficult for people living in my constituency.
“I will now be pressing Ministers to relocate to either another site in Medway or, failing that Maidstone.”
