MP congratulates three local charities awarded grants

Local MP Gordon Henderson has congratulated three local charities for being awarded grants from the Lloyds TSB Foundation.

The Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales is one of the UK’s leading community grant makers, which supports local, regional and national charities working at the heart of communities to tackle disadvantage.

During 2010, the Lloyds TSB Foundation awarded £8,000 to Home-Start, £20,600 to The Island Partnership and £20,000 to the Beat Project Ltd.

Mr Henderson said,

“I am pleased that grants are being awarded to important community charities in Sittingbourne and Sheppey. They all provide valuable help and support to my constituents.

“I would urge other community voluntary groups and charities to apply for the grants available to help those disadvantaged.”
