Sheppey Beach Water Rated Excellent

 

Gordon Henderson MP has welcomed the news that the water quality at Sheerness, Minster and Leysdown beaches has been rated excellent by the Environment Agency.

 

The Environment Agency recently carried out tests on the water to find out if it met the required standard for swimming and enjoyment. The standards were made up of four categories; excellent, good, sufficient and poor.

 

Mr Henderson said,

 

“I am delighted that the water quality at Sheerness, Minster and Leysdown beaches has been rated excellent meaning the water is clean and safe for use in both summer and winter.
