MP drops into Litter Angels Workshop
Gordon Henderson MP dropped into St Clements School last week to support his Litter Angels charity by taking part in their school assembly.
St Clements School in Warden on the Isle of Sheppey was the first school this year to book a Litter Angels workshop for their Year 5 pupils.
Litter Angels is a charity, which was set up by Mr Henderson, to create awareness of the effects of litter on the environment. Litter Angels will be visiting 20 primary schools across Sittingbourne and Sheppey throughout September and October.
Each workshop includes a Litter Angels presentation, a reading of the Litter Angels story, The Almost Twins and the Litter Angel, written and presented by Mr Henderson and a lesson during which the children design anti-litter posters to be entered into a competition. The winning poster will be displayed in the car parks of the three local McDonalds restuarants.
Mr Henderson said,
“I was delighted to visit St Clements School to read my Litter Angels story. The children listened intently and were very well behaved. I look forward to seeing their completed posters.”
