MP urges constituents to take part in police prioritisation inquiry
Local MP, Gordon Henderson, is urging his constituents to take part in an online police inquiry, relating to front-line policing and police priorities.
The Home Affairs Committee recently launched the inquiry to assess the Government’s proposals, set out in ‘Policing in the 21st Century’, to enhance the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of the police.
Mr Henderson said,
“A number of policemen and women in my constituency have contacted me regarding changes in the police service, especially on the front-line.
“This inquiry provides a good opportunity for them to give their views on which aspects of the police service should be prioritised in the future to help the Government when making any decisions on the proposals.”
The survey will run until 17th June 2011 and can be found at: www.parliament.uk/policing-priorities.
