MP opens new Wedding Services Shop and Photography Studio
Local MP Gordon Henderson officially opened a new Wedding Services Shop and Photography Studio on 23rd April 2011 in Sittingbourne.
The new shop, based at Unit B2 on the St George’s Business Park on the Eurolink Industrial Estate, currently promotes wedding stationery, wedding favours, chocolate fountains, a photo booth, photo GuestBook service, wedding photography, balloons and chair covers.
The local family run business is operated by Julian Austin, who is responsible for the photography side of the business, his sister Jane Large, who is responsible for the chocolate fountains and running the shop and their mum, Suzanne Austin, who runs the wedding stationery side of the business.
Mr Henderson opened the shop by giving a short speech and cutting a ribbon held by Julian and Jane. Mr Henderson was then given a tour of the shop and studio before chatting with visitors.
Professional photographer, Julian Austin said,
"My family and I have been working hard to establish ourselves within the wedding industry and opening our new shop and photography studio is the next step to help us do that.
"We were delighted our local MP, family, friends and past and present customers could come to the official opening to support us. We look forward to serving many new customers in the future."
Mr Henderson added,
“I am keen to help promote local businesses, particularly those that are starting up or expanding. They are important to the local economy, not only because they provide a good service to my constituents, who might otherwise have to travel outside the area, but they also have the potential to generate much needed jobs.
“It was a pleasure to open this new wedding services shop and photography studio and I wish the Austin family well in their new venture.”
